About us

The Community Space is a place where people share things.

Find what you need

Food, clothes, furniture. It doesn’t matter where you live, how much you earn, or whether you have a family.

Donate what you don't need

We accept food, toiletries, clothing, housewares, linens, toys, books, electronics, games, and furniture.

Win-win for our community

By sharing, we improve lives, reduce waste, and make our community healthier and happier.

What we do

Our mission

Our open doors put community into practice by sharing food and other resources, reusing clothing and furniture, and welcoming everyone’s contributions.

We collect clothing, furniture, housewares, food and other items and offer them free of charge. There are no residency, income, or other requirements. We are a great place to reuse that outgrown or no longer used sports gear, that puzzle that was fun but you’ll never do again, that can of soup you bought several of but didn’t really like, that scarf you never wear, that book that was a hoot but is now just sitting on your shelves… and a great place to find all of the above if it would brighten your day. We are also a place to just be: come in, have a cup of tea or coffee, read a book, do a puzzle, or knit. All are welcome.

Get involved

Here’s how you can help.

Donate items

We accept pretty much anything — food, toiletries, clothing, housewares, linens, toys, books, electronics, games, and furniture. Learn more about how and what  to donate.

Volunteer

All of our work is done by volunteers, and a variety of flexible options are available. Contact us if you are interested in volunteering.

Monetary support

Monetary donations are entirely used to pay utilities, make repairs and purchase food from Feeding America food bank. Learn more about making a tax-deductible donation.

Our Little Free Pantry

The Little Free Pantry in the vestibule includes a refrigerator and provides 24/7 access for people who might need to pick up some groceries at any time. A donation bin is provided to allow people to drop off clothing or houseware items when it is convenient for them. We do ask that large items like furniture or numerous items be dropped off during our open hours.
